KAOHSIUNG, Dec 15 (Bernama) -- Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd (CDC) has brought pride to Malaysia by winning the 1st Runner-Up Award in the Digital Government category at the prestigious Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards (APICTA) 2025. Competing against more than 14 strong submissions from across the Asia Pacific region, CDC—through its flagship government electronic procurement platform, ePerolehan—emerged as the only Malaysian organisation to secure a top position at this year’s competition.

Nominated by PIKOM, CDC represented Malaysia at the regional stage after achieving national-level recognition earlier this year. APICTA remains one of the region’s most respected ICT benchmarking platforms, with a rigorous evaluation process conducted by independent judges representing more than 16 economies.

CDC’s strong performance reflects the maturity and robustness of ePerolehan, a national digital procurement system that processes over 25 million transactions cumulatively across 28 federal ministries and government departments. The platform has consistently maintained high governance standards while enhancing efficiency, integrity, and transparency in public procurement.

This recognition comes at a momentous time, as ePerolehan approaches its 25th year of service, reinforcing its position as Malaysia’s most trusted digital procurement infrastructure. Continuous upgrades ensure that the system evolves to meet new governance requirements and increasingly complex operational demands.

“This recognition is not just a win for CDC, but for Malaysia’s long-term commitment to strong governance and digital public services. ePerolehan has evolved over 25 years because our mission has always been to serve the nation with transparency, integrity, and innovation. We are honoured to represent Malaysia on the regional stage and to demonstrate that our public-sector digital infrastructure is among the strongest in the Asia-Pacific,”
— Putri Nurul Ida Yahya, Director, Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd.

She added that while many competitors leveraged the latest emerging technologies, CDC’s long-standing, proven, and resilient government procurement system remained a key differentiator in securing this award.

Beyond this 25-year milestone, CDC foresees that the system’s accumulated expertise, data, and insights will continue to benefit national stakeholders. The company remains committed to driving relevance, impact, and continuous improvement as an agent of change for Malaysia’s digital governance landscape.
