GEORGETOWN, Penang, July 3 (Bernama) -- Gleneagles Hospital Penang, part of IHH Healthcare Malaysia’s network of 18 hospitals, recently hosted the northern region’s first-ever Metaverse Health Hunt and Media Tour. Centred on the theme “Value-Driven Excellence,” the event offered media partners an immersive experience into the hospital’s innovative approach to healthcare delivery, where advanced technology is seamlessly combined with compassionate, patient-centred care. Every stage of the patient journey is guided by the principles of cost-effectiveness, clinical excellence, and personalised care, all aimed at achieving outstanding clinical outcomes.

Through a combination of interactive virtual experiences and guided tours, media participants explored how Gleneagles Hospital Penang is enhancing healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and service quality for its community.  

One of the key highlights was the hospital’s focus on minimally invasive and roboticassisted procedures, which support accurate diagnosis, reduce patient recovery time, and enhance treatment outcomes. To date, Gleneagles Hospital Penang has successfully performed over 200 robotic surgeries, marking significant milestones across multiple specialties.
