MEDIA ADVISORYThe Government of Malaysia will host the
46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from 26 to 27 May 2025.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will lead the organisation of these Summits under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025.
In conjunction with the ASEAN Summit, two major high-level meetings - the
2nd ASEAN–Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit and the
ASEAN–GCC–China Economic Summit – will also be held.
These GCC-related Summits are expected to be key highlights, laying the groundwork for a dynamic trilateral partnership and opening up new avenues for multilateral cooperation across strategic sectors.
1. MEDIA ACCREDITATION Media accreditation is required for all journalists, photographers and broadcasters as well as the Official Media of the ASEAN Member States (OM AMS) covering the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.
Media representatives may register online at
https://emacs.myasean2025.my. The deadline for registration is today, 14 May 2025 for both Malaysian and foreign media.
1.1 Registration Requirements To complete the registration process, applicants must submit the following documents:
● A valid press card
● A letter of assignment endorsed by the respective media agency or office (for OM AMS)
Note: Submission of both the press card and endorsed letter of assignment is mandatory for all media representatives, including Official Media (OM). Accreditation badges and information kits will be available for collection at the International Media Centre (IMC). The accreditation badge grants access to the meeting venue and must be worn visibly at all times while on site.

when covering meetings during the
46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, from 26 to 27 May 2025.
Please note that
jeans are strictly prohibited at all official venues throughout the coverage period.
Accreditation passes must be worn visibly at all times for security and identification purposes.

Host Broadcaster (HB) for the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, providing high-quality video footage of key events.
RTM’s Host Broadcaster Services (HBS) will ensure the delivery of broadcast-grade video content, including live feeds and recorded footage, accessible from remote locations. These services will be made available at the
International Media Centre (IMC), Exhibition Hall 1, Ground Level, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
6.1 Access and RegistrationMedia representatives interested in obtaining RTM’s video footage must scan the QR code provided below to register their details for IBC records.
6.2 Access to Coverage Material Once registration is confirmed, media representatives will receive a second QR Code granting access to the coverage material. Alternatively, a download link will be sent to the registered email address.

th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, the International Media Centre (IMC) will offer
10 media agency booths for rental on a first-come, first-served basis.
The rental fee is RM/USD1500 (Subject to 8% SST). An official invoice will be issued upon confirmation of booking.
7.1 Booth Specifications Each booth will include the following:
Booth Size: 3m x 4m with lighting (fluorescent light)
Door: 1 unit lockable folding door
Power Supply: 4 Geng 13-Amp Switch Socket Outlet, (3-Pin Plug)
Internet: 1 point internet (15Mbps upload/download)
Furniture: 2 tables and 5 chairs

th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits will be restricted. A limited number of media passes will be issued to journalists, photographers, and cameramen approved to cover selected meetings within a specified time frame.
Official Media of ASEAN Member States (OM AMS) are required to register in order to gain access to cover the meetings.
Further details on media access, locations, and timing will be outlined in the Media Coverage
Planner, which will be made available at the IMC.
Accredited media representatives may also access the Media Coverage Planner by scanning the QR code.
9. MEDIA INTERVIEWS Accredited media representatives are permitted to request interviews with delegates attending the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits
. The Interview Request Form will be available at the IMC.
Alternatively, the form can be accessed by scanning the QR code.
Please be advised that all interview requests will be coordinated periodically by the Media Interview Representatives. While accredited media representatives may submit more than five (5) interview requests, priority will be given to the top three (3) requests submitted by each applicant.
